Redevelopment plans have come into figure in some of the States, where the Government is cooking up to build low-cost homes with Private Developers.
Under the redevelopment scheme - slums and dilapidated buildings will be exculpated and pulled down, and they will make way for skyscrapers.
Civic Activists may have different versions to this, but economists consider it a fruitful venture, as that way Government will improve land/buildings, reconstruct buildings, improve roads, and other public utilities.
